On your arrival, you will have a private Holy Mass Celebration in the church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Cospicua.
Your tour will start with a visit to the oldest Megalithic temples in the world called ‘Ggantija Temples’. You will then visit Xaghra Grottos, the church of Xewkija and the amazing Calypso Caves which have also been mentioned in The Odyssey of Homer. The end of the tour takes you to the Miraculous Basilica of Ta’ Pinu, and the fortified Citadel of Victoria.
Discover the Capital City of Malta and learn about its founders, the Knights of St. John. During this tour you will also visit St. John’s co-Cathedral where you will find the painting of the beheading of St. John the Baptist painted by Caravaggio. You will also visit St. Paul’s Shipwreck Church containing the relics of St. Paul, and Casa Rocca Piccola, a 16th Century Palace. Not to be missed is the amazing panoramic view of the Upper Barracca Gardens from which you can enjoy a stunning view of the harbour.
Your day will start with a private morning Mass after which you will then enjoy a half day tour of the 3 fortified harbour cities of Senglea, Vittoriosa and Cospicua which have been in use since the Phoenician times. In this tour, you will also visit the Senglea Church and the St. Lawrence Church.
